1. How did you get into photography?
I got into photography because my dad let me take his digital camera to the stable one time, and I became obsessed with photographing my horse.
2. Who is your favourite Photographer?
My favorite photographer is Sally Mann, hands down. No one can say things through a photo like she can. I hate landscapes, but her landscapes of the World War II battle fields give me goosebumps and make me want to shrivel up until my body becomes a part of the land.
It makes me want to touch the wounds, it makes me feel them.
3. How would you describe your style?
My style is simply mine. I’m all about communicating and making my clients cry and get goosebumps because of how beautiful and meaningful their photos are. Anyone can spend a ton of time, or a little time, on perfectly the art of retouching and lighting. Not anyone can really catch the essence of a person or event, or the deeper meaning in people, because that is not easy and you can’t teach yourself that kind of thing.
4. What message do you want to convey in your photographs?
Charisma. Passion. An intimate delicacy toward your subject to make them feel like they can be real with you, maybe even more-so than their best friends, and yet a striking, strong image, that makes someone who doesn’t even KNOW the person, get goose bumps. That is what my style strives for. All subjects. I shoot everything.
5. Do you have any project that you would like to work?
My current project is on dancers, and I’m really loving it.
